Vehicle description
This custom 1988 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado short-bed pickup is powered by its original fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 engine paired with a 700R4 overdrive automatic transmission and 10-bolt rear differential. It's fitted with a 4/6 drop using front springs and spindles, plus a rear C-notch and axle flip, complemented by Belltech shocks at all four corners with rear shock relocators and bump stops. This truck rides on polished 20-inch American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels. It has been repainted once and presents as driver-quality with some scratches, small chips and a few dings, while the body remains very clean, having spent most of its life in Kentucky. Performance upgrades include stainless headers feeding a 3-inch exhaust into a single Flowmaster muffler exiting at the right-rear corner, along with a hand-rebuilt throttle body. Recent maintenance and upgrades include newer power steering lines, radiator, ball joints, alternator, valve cover gaskets and a billet distributor, plus recently replaced fuel pump, front and rear brakes, front tires, intake gaskets, oil sending unit, oil pan gasket, rear main seal, flywheel, transmission front seal, transmission filter/gasket with a drain plug added to the pan, rear axle seals and rear differential gasket. The audio system has been upgraded with a RetroSound head unit featuring radio, AUX, USB, Bluetooth and SiriusXM capability, NVX speakers in the dash and B-pillars, and a custom sub enclosure behind the seat housing dual 10-inch AudioControl subs with an integrated amplifier, supported by a Power Master alternator to handle electrical demand. Additional upgrades include all-LED lighting, ceramic 20% tint on the door glass, rear sliding window and windshield eyebrow, and a professional black spray-in bed liner. The stock interior remains clean with no rips or tears in the seat, panels or headliner. CARFAX shows mileage inconsistency on 04/04/2025. **TITLED AS 1988 CHEVROLET GMT-400**
